I feel really proud when I see children wearing a Liverpool goalkeeper kit with my name and number on the back. It still surprises me whenever it happens because I just naturally expect them to have Steven Gerrard’s, Andy Carroll’s, or Luis Suarez’s name on the back - not mine. They are the players who score the goals and make the game beautiful. I am just a keeper, the drummer in a band in which almost everyone else is a lead singer. This makes it really special for me when I see a kid with my name on his shirt. It makes me even more determined to do well for them.
